I’ve got 5 eggs in lock down. The first pip was yesterday morning. By yesterday evening 4/5 were pipped.
This morning they’re zipping but that one last egg who is still moving a bit (and seemed alive) still had not pipped yet. He’s got to be running out of air by now right?
Do I just leave it...
12 eggs (or 10+ extras) whatever sounds better to you.
The girls are laying their little butts off right now and we can’t hatch all of them for ourselves.
All eggs come in egg padding and priority 1-3 day (depending on your location) I ship eggs mon-thurs only to ensure your eggs don’t take...
We have had a mess this season.
$400 on 12 eggs, one of which developed but I'm fairly certain is now dead in shell.
I really just wanted a couple of babies for my daughter to raise up this year.
Does anyone have or know of anyone with eggs this late in the season?
Thank you.
has anyone ever shipped eggs overnight?
My last batch I bought had completely scrambled air cells
Working with the seller to get more. I would prefer them here before the holiday weekend, and next week is supposed to be hot where we are so I'd rather ship now.
Pros? Cons?
I'm trying to...
just trying to get some reassurance at this point because while I've been told to wait until day 10, all the pictures I'm seeing show veining by day 4-5.
Is this normal?
My candling light was super powerful a few years ago but I'm wondering if it's just junk now.
I'm day 5, officially...
i can not for the life of me decide what color English orpingtons I want.
We've had bbs and jubilees in the past.
I am getting ready to purchase my hatching eggs next month and it's been a battle of the wills to pick a variety and stick with it!
What's your favorite color/pattern?!
Help me...
brinsea oco-ectogon. Test ran all night humidity stable at 44% and temp at 99.5%.
Added eggs now temp is stalled at 97....
Eggs were in the room and temp is 68-69.
It's been about an hour, humidity is still 44 but temp doesn't seem to be coming all the way back up.
How long do I wait...
Hey all....bit of a Chicken Emergency. I got this cute little chocolate roo at auction last month. Quarantined him in the garage and he looked fine...clear eyes etc. Day 10 I let him out into the yard, a friend came by and checked him out because I thought he seemed a little lethargic. When she...
So....I'm entirely new to pigeons, I picked them up as an impulse buy at auction yesterday, they were advertised as roller pigeons...I have 2 cock birds and 3 hens.
Because I was entirely unprepared for this adventure, they are currently residing in a large parrot flight cage. Everyone seems...
My 2 baby peachicks hatched this morning. Both seem to be doing well, except they still aren't fluffed up or standing...they hatched in my brinsea and the incubator is not tall enough for them to stand and stretch out....I'm wondering when I should move them to their brooder?
With my chickens...
A friend of mine moved into a condo and asked me to take her 4 hens into my flock. We're pretty close and I know that her coops are just as clean as mine are [and her birds are as well cared for and loved as much as mine as well]
I took hers in and checked them out, all seemed to be in good...
Don't care what color, don't need anything fancy.
If you have any peacock hatching eggs available, let me know how much with shipping!
I'm only looking for 2-3 eggs, and after everything I've read, I don't want to get them from ebay! Thanks!
I posted this in another section, but want to put it here too, so that more people hopefully see it and can give me some insight.
My eggs are fertile. They all have the white bullseye of fertility on the yolk. LOL. And I've seen my rooster doing his business numerous times.
I gave away a...
My eggs are fertile. I have been checking the yolks and they all have the little white bullseye on them showing that they have definitely been fertilized.
But, I put some under my broody and also gave some away for free on here, and people are telling me that their eggs aren't growing.
Sure...
Um...I have a bantam cochin and some standard orpingtons. My cochin usually lays smaller eggs. Today, she popped out THIS!!!
She was the only one left to lay today, and when I checked, she was in the nesting box, laying...when I came back she was still in the nesting box, but I reached...
Was hoping some members here are doing this, or have done the gluten free diet in the past.
For medical reasons, I am going to give it a go and I'm confused! I've been reading articles online and blogs and stuff and all I can deduce is that Gluten is a wheat protein found in just about...
I'm on the verge of buying and hatching a couple of duck eggs....
Not sure if I'm going Muscovy or Pekin yet though.
I don't know a whole lot about them, other than the vague hazy stuff I can recall from being 6 years old when my parents bought me 3 ducks for my birthday! lol
We're going...
I have some hens laying right now, and my rooster is getting his job done, the eggs are fertile.
I want to give away some eggs for someone to hatch, all I ask is that you send pictures and let me know what the babies look like [because it's a genetic mystery to me.]
There are two crosses...
