    I raise Silkies but I do have egg layers. My question is this... Are floppy combs (in single combs) a genetic trait? I ask because I hatched some of my RIR eggs and my hen with the floppy comb had floppy comb offspring. I know it's a little silly, but I'm curious.

    @casportpony Can you explain how much liquid is needed before tube feeding and what the best method is? Also what if any thing should be added to the water (electrolytes, vitamins, etc) And how long should you hydrate before administering the Kaytee suppliment.
