I finally ordered chicks today...I will have them by the 5th or so of December...I cannot wait have not had babies in a long time...I ordered 11, but they add males to fill the box up so I may end up with 25 and I do not need that many...wish me luck :)
I was planning on buying some blue cochins and regular americanas and cross them with the blue...I know that it is not a true breeding gene...normally you get a black, two splash and one white possibly...could anyone else tell me if I should breed my chickens to keep the blue going or just let...
My uncle died last week and my aunt is wanting to give me their chickens...there are 7 in all...5 hens and 2 roosters...they are suppose to be red/golden comets not sure have not seen them...but apparently they would tear my uncle up when he went in the pen with them...comets are not normally...
I have had my incubator set up for about three days now and I have gotten it regulated...or so I thought...I have two different types of thermo. in the incubator...I have one that reads 99.5 and one that reads 100-102 does this mean that it is not accurate? I also have the humidity at 40-50...
