    What is this bantam?

Any guesses as to what breed this bantam is? I'm thinking it's a rooster.

    Jersey giant?

About 4 months old. I got it (and 3 others like it) from Murray McMurtry hatchery. It *should* be a jersey giant (highly faulty process of elimination), but they're the smallest chickens of the bunch.

    Cochin or croad langshan?

[/IMG About 4 months old. I suspect Cochin cockerel.

    10 week old rooster

What breed is this? I thought they'd end up being very meaty. They were by far the fastest growing chicks I ended up with. They're still the largest of the bunch. Their legs are huge, but they don't have much meat on them. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting a few more weeks to butcher them, or...

    Another mystery

This chick is supposed to be a black copper marans. I have no idea what she (?) is, though. Almost 7 weeks old. I have no idea what kind of comb, it's practically nonexistent. Slate legs that are lightly feathered. Dark grey possibly penciled feathers. Thoughts?

cockerels or pullets? They're 3 months old.

My hen is growing hair (pics)...

I saw a coarse hair on my chicken Lucy and plucked it off only to have her squawk and jump. On closer examination I discovered she's growing a handful of hairs on each thigh. They look and feel exactly like clear/white horse hair. There's nothing feather-like about them. She's an EE or...

    Help! Video of neurological problem?

any thoughts on what's wrong with this hen? She's a 7 month old EE. She's been super healthy. She's still eating and scratching like normal, then out of the blue she acts like she's drunk.

    Lump on cheek

i have a year old splash (?) Wyandotte. I've had her for about a month. She's had this lump on her cheek the whole time. It's the same temperature as the rest of her head/face. It's relatively hard. It doesn't seem to cause her any discomfort. It doesn't seem to change size. I had all my birds...

    Mites or molt or overbreeding?

This is my "Colombian Wyandotte". She looks nothing like a colimbian, however, ha ha. She's less than a year old. She has a bald spot on her crop. She's acting and laying completely normal. She's not acting any itchier than any of my other hens. I don't know if that black spot is dirt in her...

    Is this lice?

I have a few of my 29 chickens that have this stuff on their feathers. It only seems to be under their chins (or whatever a chicken's chin is called). They're not acting like they're any itchier than the birds that don't have it. Is this lice? Sorry for the poor quality.

    Silkie roo?

The other silkies just started laying, so I don't know if this is a roo or a hen?

    Worms?

Found this poop from my little three-month-old pullet. I kind of poked around and spread it out, it wasn't quite the spread out when I found it. Is this worms?

Bubbles coming from nose and this poo (pic).

I have an easter egger that had a rumble in her lungs a few weeks back. I have been giving everyone garlic powder in their food and ACV in their water ever since. She's gotten better (not completely, though). Now a handful of my other chicken have the same snotty nose issue. Everyone is acting...

    Corner nesting boxes

Anybody ever built or seen stacked nesting boxes in the corner of a coop? I'm short on space and wondering if that would be feasible at all.

New coop!! How do I fix it up?

Edited/updated- I found an old (OLD!) coop on Craigslist. It's a solid 6x8 that hasn't housed birds in years, but the price is right. It needs a new coat of paint. I need to fix a window, and build a window where the metal sheet is. The guy was just using it for storage, so when the big...

    Mystery bantams!

I got these cuties for free. They're from the same hatch, and 22-24 wks old (I've been told). I don't know what breed they are or if I have 2 hens or 1 roo and 1 hen. I suspect that's the case- I'm fine with it. Bantam Roos are adorable and fairly harmless, right? Although I have 8 standard...
