i have 8 hens who've been laying like champs through massive storms, unstable tempatutes, and flood conditions. They all of a sudden just completely stopped 2 days ago. I mean not one egg. I believe they were without water for about a day. Would that cease laying? They aren't even "talking" like...

Ok so I've got 12 birds. 6 RIR, 4 Buff Orpingtons, a Black Australop, and a Barred Rock. The Australop & Barred Rock are of laying age while the others are maturing now, but haven't began laying as of yet.

Ok having trouble. Have had problems with a chicken, or chickens, pooping on top of the nesting boxes. I tried to put a huge plastic garbage bag up there and secured it with push pins, but that chicken pecked it undone. So. Then I used OSB as a solution and blocked off the top of the boxes.

I would love some feedback and advice from Buff owners as to when their chicks began to lay. Mine are about 41/2- 5 months. All have very pronounced combs and wattles. They are reddening daily. All have good tail feathers showing. Can't really say if I've noticed any squatting. Thanks for the help
Ok so is it a requirement that I feed my girls pellets, or can I feed them crumbles? What is the difference between the two?? Starter feed is crumbles so that's what they are used to & I'm concerned that they won't want the pellet. HELP!!!!
Okay... Have been using poultry nipples attached to 1 liter bottles as primary water supply. Today I decided to attach those nipples under a 5 gallon Lowes bucket. My girls won't drink from it. I need help to make them sink from it.
