    Gone without a trace??

Ok so I let my chickens out for about 30-45 minutes every morning and every evening. I live in a neighborhood with a very secure chain link fence. This morning when I came to put the birds back in their coop, I realized one was missing (black sex link @ almost a year old). I looked EVERYWHERE...

hen won't lay eggs in coop!

This is probably a very dumb worry! My hen just recently began laying eggs a few days ago, but she only wants to lie them on my porch! Today I came out as they were locked up in coop, and saw Betty pacing the fence to be let out, so I only let her out and she ran RIGHT to the porch to lay...My...

    Clipping wings on chickens

Has anyone cut the primary feathers off of their birds? I'm having issues with them flying in my neighbors yard and getting stuck. Do you think trimming would solve this issue? Or am I screwed? It's about a 4-4 1/2 ft chain link fence. I don't want to clip if it's not going to help anything.

    First time chicken owner!

BSL pullet around 14-15 weeks old began loosing tail feathers a few days/week ago! She's the top girl in the coop so I don't suspect anyone pulling them out. Is this normal?

    BLOODY STOOLS!!! Need opinions.

I have 5 chickens outside, 2 at 11 weeks, and 3 at 7 weeks of age. A few days ago I noticed bloody areas in poo, a lot like intestinal lining but also some reddish in normal poo areas as well(not like stringy lining)! I have no clue who the suspect is. No one seems to be acting any differently...

Fairly new to chickens but fairly knowledgeable...my husband brough home 6 chicks, 1 white leghorn (which we lost) 1 ISA, 2 red Rangers, a mystery breed (all black chick), and this blonde one! From photos it looks like the ISA chicks, but also I've seen them with colored wings! Or exactly like...

Lethargic 3-4 day old White Leghorn

I purchased 6 chicks from TSC on Wednesday. I noticed the single White leghorn chick was very still and calm. I figured it needed time to get acclimated. Yesterday I noticed it had pasty butt, which I removed. I watched it all day, doesn't eat, doesn't drink. She STANDS all day long lightly...
