    7 week olds dont go in at night?

    I have the same 5 chickens who dont go in on thier own at night? They have access to the run all day and choose to roost on the ramp instead of going in? The other 11 go inside but they dont, any Ideas on getting them in the habit of going in ? They are about 7 weeks old ?

    Netting for the top???

    OK I'm fencing in my run with galvanized poultry fence. What does anyone suggest for the top covering? Ive seen some plastic and nylon netting sold in wide enough pieces to cover my run roof any other suggestions or thoughts?

    Yup its addicting

    We found a local seller in the paper and added 5 more chicks to our flock of 11 birds! Found some cool breeds though silver spangled hamburg and a partridge cochine. I wanted to replace 2 we lost as chicks and oops we got 5 not just two like I planned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Plastic poultry fence????

    Does any one have plastic fencing how does it hold up and how well does it keep predators out??? I live in NH and our area most common preators would be fox, weasels, and fishercats how well do you think it would hold up???? Thank you for any insight

    Two chicks didnt make it!

    Egg collecting? and Refridge?

    Im just getting started with new chicks and researching everything I can. Do fresh eggs need to be immediatly refridgerated and how often should I check for eggs or collect them a day?
