    Silver Laced Wynadotte & how to tell the difference?

    Went to Tractor Supply today and guess what? They have peeps already!!! They have SLW peeps...I've never had any of that breed. How do you tell when they are peeps which ones are pullets? Or is it a toss up like with Easter Eggers? Thankx for the help!!!

    So what color are these?

    This is our first year with Guineas... so what color are these? I got them from a feed store and the kid didn't know for sure. They are about 18 wks or so I think. I believe that I have 2 girls and a guy. We lost one to the neighbors dog... Thankx!

    Quail hatching!!! SO excited!!!

    A friend gave us some quail eggs and we pitched them into the incubator. Never had quail before. We're versed in chickens/ducks/guinea keets and now the quail are hatching!!!! We're excited!!! 3 so far!!! They are SO SMALL!!!

    Redid the big girls run!!!

    It's MUCH sturdier than the last one. We've even gotten better with the straight lines. All this done with recycled/reclaimed materials. Just tore down the old and remade it. What'ya think? I love my kids for all their help!

    Is there a way to tell w/Silkies? Posted in the wrong section before.

    I've got 5 silkies from TSC. They are about 5 days old now. All of them have double row (not sure of term) wing feathers. Does this kind of sexing work for silkies? I'm new to silkies so need some advice. (I've had chickens for over a year now but not silkies) Thankx!
