    Sheesh! Almost 600 pages in the Duck Section now...

    I remember when I first logged onto BYC, there were about 350 pages in this forum. Now that Spring is here, I see new names and new faces left and right and the familiar ones are becoming few and far between. I have been quite busy as of late and the last time I have truly been active on here...

    Was in Arizona for a few weeks and haven't truly been on the Duck forum in a while. So much going on....lots to read Also, gonna be making an order from either Metzer or Holderreads in a week or so and finally get more ducks (A drake and 2 hens).     Sooo envious of you guys with cold weather....

    In 2010 the temp never got below 50° F here and so far all of 2011 has been hot weather. Its currently 88.7° F...in the middle of winter. Darn SoCal! I'm so jealous of all of your snow pics!

    Integrating chicks of different ages...problem?

    We currently have a 5 week old Barred Rock Pullet, a 5 week old Buff Orpington Pullet, and a 3 week old Mystery Chick in our bathtub brooder. We have 28 California Grey Leghorn eggs in lockdown at the moment. Theres definetly enough space in the brooder, but would the older chicks pick on them?

    Can I free Range Coturnix?

    Will they go back to their coop like chickens do? I have a few Coturnix Eggs in the 'bator at the moment and am trying to get ideas for housing. I was thinking a rabbit hutch with a wire floor and a ramp in and out of it so they can free range during the day....horrible idea? Great idea...
