    My husband says the chicks can't go outside yet but they smell SO bad! I clean their box out everyday but they are really smelly little critters!!! I think they are going on two months old.. isn't that old enough to go outside?

    It's really strange for me to have an animal who doesn't really seem to 'play.' Every pet I have ever owned did some sort of play. Horses, goats, dogs, cats, parakeets.... etc.. So, do you consider chickens 'playful'?

    What will my chickens look like?

    I have a welsummer roo and aricauna hens.... do you think their offspring will lay green or brown eggs? Do you think they will have the tufted faces of the aricauna? Anyone have any welsummer-aricauna mixed chickens?

    How can I tell what sex my chicks are?

    When my chicks hatch (Sat or Sun) how will I know if they are boys or girls? They will be welsummer/white leghorn mixes.... or possibly leghorn/barred rock mixes but my Welsummer roo is the Alpha so I am assuming he will be the daddy.
