Small flock of 4 ducks need new home in Southern NJ

I have to find a new home for our babies, very sad for us as we can no longer afford them. They are 1 female Mallard, 1 Male mixed Mallard/Muscovy, 1 male Mallard, and 1 female Muscovy. All were hatched and hand raised by us in our home, but could adapt to living outdoors. I could...

    Yay! 1ST Niblet egg!

She is 7 1/2 months old. Such a cute tiny white egg after being washed. Lisyla stopped laying and we had only 2 of her eggs left. I thought I would have to go out and buy some. Nothing like fresh duck eggs!

    Got 3 eggs today!

I found the usual Lisyla egg in her nest with a smaller shell-less egg and another large shell-less egg outside the nest. Is Lisyla's system messed up again, or do you think Niblet has finally started laying?

Lisyla laid her first egg at 1 week shy of 5 months!

She just shocked us by laying the egg on our kitchen floor just now during playtime. Niblet is 1 month older and has not started laying yet.

Got an unexpected "surprise" today...our Nigella is a boy!

My DD informed me today that Nigella was on top of Lisyla and had something hanging out that looked just like Xerxes'. I checked twice when he was a day old and I was sure it was a girl! Oh well, I wasn't expecting eggs anyway because it's a crossbreed. We now call him Nigel.

What do you call the color of this spot on Lisyla's head?

She surprised us when she started getting colored feathers on her head, we thought she was going to be pure white. The tips of the feathers look tan and the lower part looks blue.

Is Xerxes a pure Mallard or Muscovy/Mallard cross?

Looking at Xerxes next to Niblet, I am not sure which he is. Niblet is on the left and Xerxes is on the right. Xerxes side. Xerxes under tail.

Do female Mallards feather faster than males?

Our Mallard (Niblet) is 30 days old and has feathered in completely on the belly has tail feather and has feathers in front of the wings already. We thought it was male, but now not sure. I know female chickens feather faster than males and was wondering if ducks are the same.
