Hi
I have a one year old Foys VSB electronic door, has 9X13 aluminium door with sides, it also has the sepereate light sensor nut that part I am not guarranteeing works, one of the ends is off the wire.
I bought it a last spring for my coop and hens,,wel the relationship I was in went south...
I am a licensed pest control operator in NYS,,,,I would go and get a raccoon havaharts trap, use , cat food or tuna fish, or a semi rancid product from local fish place,,,put it PAST the trip plate in the trap!,and secure the bait in the trap if possible or make it so the target can not pick it...
The only thing that was plugged into that thermoswitch was one 16"X16" ceramic coop heaters, the box said that there was less than 1000amps draw ( I got the switch and the heater from the same dealer) ,,,,,that thing was supposed to be able to handle two,,,,and I now have everything plugged...
I had one of those Thermocubes that are supposed to come on at 35degrees and go off at 45,,,,well I went out to feed yesterday, and the water was frozen solid??,,,I think what's going on , and the complete switch had caught fire, tripped the breaker and fused the terminals on my extension cord...
Yes they look like little black scabs,,,she's acting quite normal,,,but at this rate I will not have to worry about my birds making it thru the winter,,it's the too the winter that's the issue
My girls have been fighting a respiratory issue, ( lost one) eyes filled with crud then she had difficulty breathing, now I have just one hen that has spots on her comb, other than that she seems fine ,
Any ideas,,,I am beginning to hate having to post here, everything seems to predate...
Well the Buff with the closed eye has gotten worse,,,,just sitting in the pen, walked over and just picked her up, I put her in a seperate cage, gave her one more .25cc tylan shot,,could hear her wheezing,, most of the rest of the birds were sneezing,,,,,,hoping for the best
So I have given two doses, of tylan 50, .25cc per bird once per day, also they've had 1oz of ocxtetracyline in the water,,,they are definitely movin slower,,I ended up giving it IM in the leg
Thanks for all the help,,,,I will keep you guys advised

I caught her again today and the eye was closed with crud, I peeled it off so she could see, and there was a nodule above the eye, it is also starting to reach down onto the beak and nostirl area (the crud). I put 2oz of Oxytetracyline powder in the water, and I gave this bird a shot of Tylan...
One of my buffs had a crust over its eye so thick that it wasn't able to open it, also one of Wyandottes haves been sneezing, and one of my red sex links has a bubbly eye,,,,
Should I inject the whole flock with Tylan,,,,,,a. Bit extreme for a possible cold?,,,what about an antibiotic in the water?
One of my buffs had a closed eye also,,,there were bubbles the other day, I manually opened (rubbed the stuff off,,,,,not sure if I should go to tylan or not
Hi
I just strated with chickens this year, and between the F......in foxes, coyotes and dogs I have bought over 20 birds and have 9 left. The newest problem is I had bought two older (unknown age, but laying) birds from a guy, both were laying earlier, one the fox got, the other got slowly...
I got a hold of some electrolyte solution and sulfamethazine solution, mixed that with water and have been feeding her with an eyedropper,,,she perked up a bit she's still quite out of it,,,thinking it's respiratory in origin,,,notice her breathing with her back
I am new to this,,,only had them 2-3 months,,,went out to give them some tomatoes and raw corn,,and I opened the coop door and one of my red sexlinks was laying on the floor of the pen,,,looks like she just fell off the perch last night. They were all out yesterday free ranging,,I didn't notice...
.22 short behind the ear, back of head ,,,,like a switch,,you need to do it though, it's all part of the responsibility and History of animal husbandry,,it's difficult but all part of it
If he is using glyphosate , 24 hrs is what's mandated by EPA labeling. In NYS at least ?,,,they're gonna have a lot of fun with all that grass seed to eat,,,,lol
