I hope so! Would love to know!
Saw on the My Pet Chicken site, no garlic or onion, but that was mostly for egg taste, but I sure as heck want to be careful to not make my little burds sick
My little vultures love pretty much everything I throw out to them....a red pepper make them absolutely bonkers the other day...
Anywho, have some grapefruit rinds here from breakfast, but thought I read somewhere that citrus was no good for chickies?
Is this true?
Thanks!
~Bridget
Thanks guys! I love her! But heck, I love them all....LOL I love that when I come outside they all flock to me. Yeah, probably just because I bring them good food treats....but I'll take the love how I can get it!

LOL maybe they will make me some pretty blue-footed blue kinda cross chickens one day!
I'm having the best time watching them grow up and develop individual characteristics even though (except Warren, the Splash) they are all supposed to be the same breed and color!
One of my OEG hens has BLUE legs....everyone else has gold (see photo) Why is that? Or do they just sometimes have different colored legs?
My Splash Andalusian also has blue legs, but his breed description says he should.

LOL thats what everyone keeps saying about Morning Glories.....lol and we tried to grow them last year, went halfway up the trellis, planted NEW ones this year and they are doing "ok" but certainly not taking over the property like they are supposed to! LOL
I did end up fencing it off...
LOL not that these are even close to all of my birdies! Some of them are becoming very distinct as far as their sex traits, others not as much.
I THINK in this photo I have 2 OEG roos, 1 Andalusian roo and 1 OEG hen....what do you guys think??
~Bridget
My husband (yes HE) is having a coronary b/c the chickens are in the flower bed where we've been trying to grow ivy and morning glories up a trellis.
Anyway short of wrapping the whole thing in chicken wire to keep them out of there?
Thanks!
~Bridget
*sobs* My little Andalusian roo is limping. He and my favorite OEG roo were running away from the dog (dog wasn't actually DOING anything, just standing there w/ me) and now he's all limpy.
He's getting around quite well (though he has an odd 'gait' to him) eating, drinking, etc and REALLY...

That was my original thought, BUT this is by FAR the most dominant Roo (or chicken in general) in the whole group....so I dont think its pecking....
So one of my OEG roos has a bald spot on his head. He's had it for WEEKS now, and instead of new feathers coming in, it seems like its getting bigger with him....anyone seen anything like this?
