I found my husband and son feeding my girls animal crackers. Thankfully not frosted, I can't imagine them on a sugar rush. They also seem to love honey nut cheerios.

    Baby ducks

Thank you everyone. I found non-medicated game bird starter. They seem to really like it. I was worried at first because they refused to eat. But now they are litttle pigs. The soda bottle is a great idea will have to get the hubby on that one. Right now they are using my sons Gerber graduate...

    Baby ducks

My silkies just hatched 2 pekin duck eggs(experiment) and now I have no idea how to care for them. Is it the same as chicks? What do I feed them, do I let them swim, and if not now when? I actually have a small dish in with them and they splash in it. I read on here about angel wing(?) if given...

    sad, just sharing

Well if it is 100% legal to have your chickens, then who's concern is it but yours. If your chickens make you happy, its no-ones business, especially a drunken neighbor. Keep him. At least give him a chance.

I had absolutly no problems housing my guinea and my rabbit together. It was actually cute because the guinea would snuggle into blackjack my rabbit. They do have a similar diet though. the only difference is the pellets. I think one of the foods is higher in something (sorry so vague its been a...

Help me decide what my rooster is.

I know this would be easier with a picture but right now my camera is functionally impaired. Anyway, I was given a rooster a few weeks ago and have no clue what he is. I have narrowed it down (by using pictures here on BYC and other sites) to he is either a Nanking or of the two old english a...

    My first Hatch!!

Thanks for the info. I actually have been looking for an incubator, but the feed stores around here are not getting them anymore. I have to build one or order an inexpensive one off line. I wasn't going to allow them to sit this year being that I just got them and love the eggs, but the thought...
