    Smoked salmon trimmings!

    Mine loved the smoked salmon trimmings, I thought it would give me an upset tum, as smoked salmon does that to me even if its one day over due, so........ I try them on allsorts of things now and the only things they do not really like is onions and leeks. Everything else scoffed in seconds!

    The coop is only about 3 mtrs square inside, but it says its designed for 12 chickens! outer enclosure is another ten mtrs and then the free range bit where they are let out in the morning is 50 cubic metres surrounded by electric fencing.

    I put him on a piece of rubber backed carpet, and surrounded the sides with wood panels so in effect he is in an extension of the coop now, but there is no perch' til tomorrow. He seems happier. Its not so cold now temps about 2 degrees.

    I have rather a lot of old (3 days out of date) smoked salmon left over from Christmas. Can I feed this to my flock safely? I've cooked and flaked the smoked salmon. Seems a pity to waste it.
