It's definately not lice eggs, I looked up the pics and man was that gross! The bumps seem to be connected and made of the shell material. Perhaps the calcium like you suggested.

I've had someone tell me that if an egg has those little bumps on it's shell that means that it is fertile. I'm pretty sure this isn't the case but what are those bumps anyway?

I'm not sure what types there are but I know it's a single and not very big, it doesn't flop over. Does that help?

This is a roo that I rescued from out back of my office building at work. He was young and VERY sweet when I got him but now that he's grown he no longer wants to be held:(. Does anyone know what he is? I am new to the forum so I hope I am adding the pic right.

I had one that looked like the little brownish red one with the stripe on its back. It turned out to be an ameraucana - the ones that lay blue eggs. In any case they are all cute!
