I'm considering getting into AC's. They are so beautiful and I like the idea of supporting rare breeds. I'm looking for recommendations of where to get good quality, clean birds. Obviously Green Fire has them. But are there any other lines out there? I've heard of Feather Lovers Farm. Anybody...
WOOOWWW! Now I understand why I haven't been able to find a thread about this. I've only read bits and pieces, here and there. I really tried to do my research, but obviously not well enough. I wonder if I can edit the name of this thread to be Feather Sexing Chicks - The Reality!! Maybe folks...
I've never started a thread before so bear with me.
I would like this thread to be one where folks can post pics of their chicks' feathers for the purpose of feather sexing. Just like the other "What Breed Or Gender is This?" threads, but dedicated just to feather sexing of the day old (or so)...
Not very good at posting so I hope this works. I've read countless sizzle posts but am still not sure I get it. The term sizzle seems to be used broadly. This is my interpretation of what I’ve read:

I was the 2nd shipment from BDRanch and was thrilled. As I PM'd all 15 eggs arrived safe and sound and were wrapped like she was shipping million dollar fabergé eggs. I felt like a kid at Christmas when you're so excited that you just want to tear open the gift, but your mom purposely wrapped it...
Crap...hit the wrong button. What I have found before is:
Black x Black = 100% Black
Splash x Splash = 100% Splash
Blue x Blue = 25% Black 50% Blue 25% Splash
Blue x Black = 50% Blue 50% Black
Blue x Splash = 50% Blue 50% Splash
Black x Splash = 100% Blue
Again this is a black cochin hen to...
Sorry if this posts wrong...I'm new. I've been reading about color genetics for a while now and I, like so many others, am still not quite understanding. Very
