This is Rose.
Here you can see her beautiful blue wing tip! They all have it but she was the only one to stay still long enough for me to get a pic lol
All of them enjoying some green peas for the first time! From left to right: Rose, River, and Amy.
Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've been on here. We have been crazy busy getting the duck and chicken coops and pens ready! The ducks are now outside and love their new place and I love the fact that my house is a little less stinky! Lol anyway I thought I would share some pics of the girls...
We couldn't get anyone to care for them so we set them up with a kiddie pool that was covered and only allowed their heads to go in and get water. They had a gravity feeder and plenty of room to always have a dry place to lay down. I'm thinking her nares are clogged a bit. I'm gonna give her a...
Hey guys I need some help. One of my ducks has started wheezing. It seems like she is having a little bit of a hard time breathing and when she breathes out she wheezes. She is still very active and eating a drinking and playing like normal. Should I be worried? I put some ACV in her water just...
Well we just got done with letting the duckies play outside in their pool! Picture will come soon! One question tho...when they were all in the pool they all three stopped and turned their head to the side and just stared at us, it creeped me out and scared me a little, they wouldn't respond...
I just read the whole thing. I really hope Trouble is doing ok! It's amazing how the little ducks always find a way to make a little place in your heart! If I'm not careful I'm gonna wind up getting more ducks cuz they are just too cute! Lol
I think it is a sign of affection, they do it to each other and I've had them "bite" my finger pretty hard when they were demanding water lol so I think when they nibble it's like "hey I like you human!" Lol
I had to be really sneaky to get it lol every time I walk in there to get a picture or just check on them they jump up and quack at me non stop lol they are getting much more courageous too! One of them walked right up to me and started nibbling on my finger lol they have never done that before!
I'm new to ducks as well but from what I've read and experienced whenever she/he gets old enough if it starts quacking then it's most likely a girl. What I read was boys (drakes) don't really quack. Girls are much more vocal. Mine are almost 4 weeks old and they are all quacking.
