WOW. I feel your pain! I do have a Cochin/Brahma mix roo that didn't start crowing until he was almost ten months old. AT 5 months he didn't even have pointy hackle or saddle feathers yet, and he never developed much of a comb or waddle. Sorry! Stealthy roos are a real pain!!!!

Japanese Beetles are a favorite, as is cooked rice mixed with cod liver oil. The Vitamin A is fantastic for them and they loooooove it! Also, scrambled eggs!

Not sure it's the same thing, but I had a girl who got pecked in the eye by another girl and it got all watery and half - closed and "sunken" looking for about a month. I kept her on duramycin just in case and it healed on its own. She's perfectly normal now. Hope that's all it is for you as well!
