This chicken was fine in the morning, but by the time I checked on them in the evening, she was like this and couldn't walk well. I separated her from the others as she was being trampled and pecked. She was going to be my son's 4h chicken.
My chicks are all different ages ranging from about 3 weeks to 6 weeks ish. Do I keep them all on crumble until they're all of age, or should I mix the feed?
I moved my chicks into their coop about a week ago. They essentially jump from the coop, down to the run, despite the ladder. When it's time to go in, they can't figure it out. How can I help them? Can I put a trail of crumble up the ladder and get them to go up it? Could the laser possibly be...

My kids got to naming ours before I could get to them... We have Blackie, Murray and Fluffy (they're all orpingtons) and then Little, Little Jr. and Little Sr. that are all Easter Eggers. hahaha We're REAL original around here.
I'm interested in this, too. We just got our chicks and were given a chick stick. My chicks LOVE it, but I was wondering the same thing since it wasn't the crumble.
Hey all! Checking in from North Port, Fl! Getting into poultry because of a son who desperately wants to do 4h but isn't old enough yet. Looking at quails, but am lost. Help?
