This EE was hatched May 6th. It is supposed to be a she, but her neck feathers seem long. As I understand EEs can be all over the place. What do y’all think?
Boy or Girl?
I've been reading about it but it isn't clear wether its curable or not. I also haven't found any treatments. It sounds like in your post that it just needs to run it's course? The symptoms seem right though....I just don't understand how they contracted it.
Thank you
Coop conditions are pretty good the run is basically a dirt floor so sometimes it can be dusty. I think it's more like coughing. There are no other symptoms but she's doing this sometimes every few minutes and sometimes more frequently than that. It came out the the blue, yesterday she was...
Today one of my birds starting sneezing/coughing regularly and I am looking for a treatment.
I've ruled out tapeworm, she does not have a runny nose or eyes. She is laying, eating, drinking, running around like normal. Her mood/habits haven't change a all. Tomorrow I'm cleaning the coop to...
I'm about 5 months in to my first flock and things are going well. But I want to remove some elephant ears that are taking over to corner of my yard and moving closer to my coop. I've read that they are poisonous to chickens.
So...I'm trying to get better but it's obvious that my gardening...
I'm located in Tallahassee, FL and am in search of a young BBS or Lavender Wheaten Ameraucana pullet. The chickens i'd like to put add to are about 10 weeks old. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance but am having trouble finding quality breeders in the area. I'd appreciate any...
Hi I'm in Tallahassee and have a small back yard flock. I'm looking to add a young Ameraucana pullet and am looking for quality breeders near me. Any suggestions?
So update in the eye situation.....they are now watery as well.... I'm still treating with corid but if this is something else should I stop corid and treat with something else? I haven't seen any more bloody poops. But I wanted to continue the corid for a few more days since they've only been...
The eyes don't seem watery and they don't have any discharge as of yet. I want to put them in a bigger space but I'm afraid to put them outside just yet. How long do you think I should wait?
Pictures as requested. See what I mean about their eyes? They seem alert and they eat and drink but these two just seem especially not well :(
I'm going to give them each 2 drops of corid after this uploads. Do you think I should do the same to the other 8 as well?
Thank you, I am very happy about that as well. Just worried about a couple of them who are looking a little unkempt and droopy, specifically the Cream Legbar. My Golden Cuckoo Marans is also on my special watch radar. I'd love to get your insight after I post photos. But I wont be able to...
I haven't found any new bloody poop as of this morning. When I get home from work if I find bloody poop then I'm going to sit down with them and my chart again and wait to see who's pooping what.
I started on Sunday by putting 1.2 - 1.5 mL of Corid in 1 pint of water. Changed out once...
So I'm still putting Corid in the drinking water as prescribed and most of the bloody stools are gone. I'm down to where I'll find 1 or 2 bloody stools a day which is an improvement for sure. I plan on continuing this for another 3-5 days. All appear to be eating and drinking well.
My...
