Will do! Theyre doing great... The only thing I had been concerned about was really watery poo from most of them & after I switched bulbs it's all looking quite normal
I feel so horrible that he probably died because of my mistake, but I won't be doing it twice! The outside temps are fluctuating...
Thank you I switched the bulbs to a regular 40 watt & The rest seem to be doing great. I feel horrible that that could be why but I'm thankful we caught it before the rest had the same problem
They seem to be so far!! He was on his back under the heat lamp so I'm wondering if maybe he go stuck on his back . I switched out the red light for a regular light bulb & threw some acv in their water in case of cocci....
We just lost one of the new ones for no apparent reason I hadn't check on them in a few hours and when I went back in they were on their back & gone everyone seems perfectly fine & healthy.... No pasty butt, eating & drinking. Praying the rest make it to morning!
I just had my best hatch so far... All of them being shipped eggs & so far we are at 75% hatch.
This time I made sure my thermometer & hygrometer were calibrated.
I do use a still air incubator, but each time I roll the eggs I rotate them, keeping them away from where the heater is, as that...
Sitting at 75% hatch!! The last two might be quitters, gonna give them a couple days, I had a straggler with my Lavendar Ameraucanas so maybe these will be too. But 75% is the best I've had so far all from shipped eggs . After I hatch a few from my hens I may be done unless I can sell a few then...
Haha I have one of those too! I call her my "pretend mama". She did it twice & the second time seemed very serious about it but was off the nest within a couple hours

Following along!! We are currently renting so just doing the traditional "till the garden" approach this year, but when we find something that's officially ours, I have had my eye on "deep mulch"/hugelkulture but I like to see people that it works for first hand rather than just a blogger...
Congratulations! They are so much fun... We are going into our second year of chickens & growing our flock substantially this year... Once you start it's hard to stop!! Lol
