    TSC IS LYNCHING CHICKENS!

I have actually heard a hybrid of what we should refer to as “lynch sexing” where the farm store employee said pullet chickswould pull their feet up against their body while cockerels would let their legs hang straight down. :thHe demonstrated and I said that’s cool and all but I don’t want that...

Help me guess the sex of this buff Orpington and barred rock!

I guess pullets also. Barred rock males are much lighter colored and the Orpington looks just like my pullets at that age:)

    Bantam grab bag little cockerels?

Hey guys! I have a couple of little (I think) cockerels my daughter chose from the assorted bantam bin at the local feed store. Pretty sure they’re both little boys, the brown/buff one definitely is as he’s already crowing. I’d love to know what you guys think they are as far as breeds. They’re...

    White rock? Golden comet?

Okay guys I have another little cockerel from the same Meyer hatchery shipment I’m not sure about. At first I thought he was a leghorn but his brown patches on his wings and stocky build have me doubting that assumption. Let me know what you guys think!

    We still thinkin barnvelder?

I will post the photo that I put up back when I originally asked about him. I am still new at this and I had resolved myself to the fact that if he was a barnvelder I was still gonna keep him around. But I was VERY hopeful he was welsummer because I want to try my hand at Olive Eggers! He came...
