Well we've gotten quite a bit of rain from Alex up here in DFW, but I believe it hit in Mexico as a Cat 1. But the moisture levels are unreal, so it's really muggy. I guess you could say we're being "mugged" by Alex.
Sorry. I don't know where that came from...
BTW, I have people occasionally asking me for chickens, and I don't raise to sell. But I do have a website for other things "chicken", so if anyone wants me to list or link to them for chicken sales, please let me know and I'll be happy to. Especially if you will do a link back to my site from...
Chickenstock!?! Love it!
Yeah, that would be great. Where is the one down south? I thought the Ft Worth Stock Show would be helpful, but there was no one around to talk to about their chickens. People just drop them off and pick them up. So it's harder to meet and greet that way.
Neat! I have 3 RIR's mainly because that's almost all I could find! The only other breed I could find easily were Buff Orpingtons, and to me they are so common looking I just didn't want to start there. I would love to have nothing but blue and lavender varieties of birds, but those are hard...

They can't smell, and you can't sell fewer than 12 at a time.
Sounds like you have to have more than 12 if you plan on selling them!
Actually, I've found that many of our towns don't really address chickens in their laws or ordinances.
I have some of these listed on my www.dfwsuburbanchickens.com web site. If there is something you are looking for but can't find, let me know and I'll hunt it down for you.
It really depends on where you are going to be located. Some areas have "deed restrictions", others have Home Owners Association rules, some towns and cities have bylaws that address chickens, and some don't. If you let me know specifically what city or town you are moving to, we can find out...
Hi. I'm here in Haslet, with my 3 RIR's and 1 Ameraucana. The girls are fun, and I know I'll end up with more, but I'd like to get some blue or lavender hens at some point. I used to have some self-blue OEG's and thought they were beautiful. I also have a website (dfwsuburbanchickens.com)...
