Thanks for your replies everyone.
I've been wanting a roo for a while, so Im glad
we got him unexpectedly.
Im not allowed to have a roo in this area but will keep
him until they say he has to go.
Hope to get some chickies from him.
I love baby chicks, they're adorable, it's unfortunate that...
Thanks everyone on your thoughts.
I posted the pics and details in the "What breed or Gender is this?"section.
Everyone that replied on that post has said rooster.
Im not supposed to have roos in the area that I live, but I've been wanting a
roo for a while so im going to keep him until they...
I've had 3 roos before this one, and this one does the same as those
when it comes to mounting. I guess im just stumped at its behaviour
as I was told it was a hen.
Also, the coop in which this 'hen' was it was all roos in there, except 3 hens
1 which is this one. Maybe the previous owner got...
As the subject says...is this a hen mounting my hens or is it a roo?
Bit of background info...over the weekend my husband and I went out and bought ourselves
two hens to add to our small flock. Well the previous owner told us that they were both hens.

I will try to get pics tomorrow. It's dark out now. I've seen it mount 3 out of 6 hens and seems to have a favourite. The favourite is a hen that has a feathery head just like 'it'. This hen is nice and hen like and the one mounting it is tall and skin with big red comb and wattles. Thanks for...

another hen. I havent heard any crowing or...
Hi all.
I have posted here before about my 3 chicks, they are about 10weeks. Two of these chicks are white. One has a yellow comb and no wattles (yet) and the other has a red comb and wattles (a bit smallish). Anyways, my question is about the one with the red comb and wattles, s/he has a...

. Lol. I'll definetly be keeping an eye out now. Mumma hen has only recently left the chicks to their own devices and even pecks at them every now and then. I really wish they didn't grow up so fast!
Thank you all for your warm welcome. I do hope to learn from all you experienced people. I've had chooks for about 5 months now and am loving it. I'm hoping to have a rooster once again as I've enjoyed having chicks but they've grown so fast. So I want a roo in order to have more lttle chickies.
Thanks txcarl1258
I've been thinking the same for the 3rd one. 'He' hasn't crowed yet or anything, but has started making a different
sound compared to the other two. I really hope atleast one of them is a roo!
Hi all.
I've got these 10 week old chicks and have no idea what breed or gender they may be.
Maybe you guys can help. I dont have any pics of the daddy but he was a big white rooster.
