Sounds safe to me! The "taking a break" part that is.
@aglyphic: I assume you want to make sure your hubby is ok with that name? Seeing as it's his favorite.....
Yeah....maybe I should let him have the final say in the name.... Although I can make some...

Let me start by saying we have quite a few different critters.... Hubby has his, I have mine and we have our "shared" ones . When I first got Silkies he never batted an eye. He helped build the coop/run and shop for supplies as well as pick out the original first 3 blues... He did, however...
I use nolvason. We use it for every cage/viv/pen in the rescue. I buy it by the gallon and dilute it according to the directions. Its used as a skin cleanser for surgery, a disinfectant, a cleaner....we even use it to rinse mouth injuries on other critters.
Here's mine...so far, lol!!
Original coop with small egg sign that I made...
It now sports this sign on the door as well...
This is the sign for the grow out pen...LOL...
And for the baby house when it's finished in the Spring. This one I just finished....I think it's finished...
Congrats to everyone!
This was my first attempt at incubating chicken eggs....
Mail ordered and arrived Christmas Eve (it was COLD!). 48 developing eggs...some looked "iffy" but I left them in. I had temp flux's throughout the first 18 days, but nothing radical. Day 20, 11 hatched. Day...
Congrats!!! Isn't it awesome!! My first hatch started on Day 18...It looks like the last 2 that are going to hatch did hatch this morning around 3 am. 20 in the brooder...2 still in the bator, a few that didn't make it out after zipping and 1 passed after. I left the other un-pipped eggs...
Thanks!!! It's so hard not to flip the lid and snatch up all those fluffy butts! I'm sitting on my hands, but my eyeballs are stuck to the bator window, lol!!
Opinions please!!
Day 19....pips
Day 20....15 full hatches
Beginning of day 21 (9 minutes in, lol)...can see 7 more pips
So, my question is...
When can I open the lid!!!!??? There are 52 eggs in there and I don't want to compromise the others that haven't pipped yet. All looked viable at...
Thanks everyone!! And please post other hatchlings up too! The more fuzzy butts to look at...the better!!!
for Shelly....
