I know that I will have to cull hard when they mature. That's what breeding is about when you want to get to a certain standard.

Some pictures of juvenile silver laced orpingtons coming from stock that I imported from Keith's Orpingtons Poultry in England. They are still young so I expect that the lacing will be better when they mature and after the first complete molt.

Cindy, I saw pictures of that ranch. There was only rubble left and several horses were standing there, injured, bleeding and with broken legs. Horrible to watch but nothing compared with what happened where people once had their homes....

Hi Jeremy, Indeed, that's what I meant. But I think we should stick with the names that the original breeders gave them. Once again, a legbar hen does not exist since she will never have the legbar or duck wing pattern of a double barred crele rooster. Marc

Hi, Crele is the cuckoo variety of partridge. Legbar is the name for a rooster that has 2 barring genes. Just a name given to these double barred roosters. Hens can never be legbar. Marc

Hi Boykin 2010, You're right when it comes to importing live birds from the UK to the US. No one did it yet. But from the European continent, no problem. I did it 3 times so far. Marc

Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

This is Marc Sacre from Heirloom Orpingtons. I would like to rectify what is said in the starting comment of this post: The buffs in the pictures don't resemble at all to what I have here in my pens. I don't know how the lady got them listed as coming from me. The birds in the pictures simply...
