Ok Ok here are some pictures. On a ironically sad note, I did not get the first rooster of my 15 surviving birds. How ironic is that? We normally complain we get nothing BUT roosters but I did not wind up with 1....Not the best pictures, will get some good ones when I have the camera at the farm...
Thanks for all the notes of encouragement One peep passed today, but all the other 19 are doing great. I have no idea why this one died, I guess had a heart flaw as it showed no signs of weakness or trauma. I moved them in with some silkie chicks, quite the bunch of birds I will take some more...
And the final count is 20 healthy babies. The 3 weaker ones did not make it, and two eggs did not hatch. Going to candle/open today to see the cause, but I suspect they just were to weak to open the egg. They are good looking, healthy, energetic birds.

So far 20 healthy fuzz butts and 3 that are in the infermary, 2 just not strong as the others and 1 with straddle. 2 eggs that have not hatched still in the bator.
Pics Up!
And, we have.....
still looking?????
so, you really want to know ?????
8 Fuzz butts so far!!!!!
Not the best pic only had cellphone cam today, but will take much better ones tomorrow.
And...... nothing Not a pip one. My incubator runs about a day late so I am not too worried about it yet. Normally I have pips by hatch day but I did not start the eggs until late in the day when I set them, so, will update later.

Ok ok, off to the farm I will go. My helper said nothing was going on yesterday but if we have any pips, zips or peeps when I get there you all will be the first to know

Sorry for the delay, been REALLY busy Put eggs in lock down yesterday and re-candled all of them. I found one more that was infertile and one mid death, so I believe that's 26 that are due to hatch. 2-3 looked a bit off, so I would expect at least 22 chicks at this point. Ill have pics of the...
The eggs are going along great, lock down is the 24th I believe. All but 3 or 4 eggs are still going strong. 1 was infertile and the rest were early deaths. You can get a road cone at Lowes, Home Depot, TSC sometimes, any place that deals with public safety professions, etc. Some would say, on...
Rusty,
Any of the large breeds. Toulouse are famed for their force fed foir gras, that stuff sales for like 80 bucks a pound processed. Not my cup of tea, though
As far doing the deed, well, a .22 to the head would work but it would not give you the best result.
THE FOLLOWING IS GRAPHIC AND...
