    not laying

Mixed breeds such as black copper maran, black australorp, easter egger, dominique, buckeye, Wyandotte. I didn't think the roo going away contributed to the stop in laying it was just weird how it coincided with each other. Hopefully once this weather breaks they'll start up again.

What predator does not eat bones?

Lost my little bantam roo yesterday to an unknown predator. Found a pile of feathers where I believe that attack happened and then some more a few yards away. My husband found what was left of him today: Beak Skelton Feet He said it was picked clean. What could this be?

    feather sexing

From what I have read some hatcheries do use this method and I know it is more likely an old wives tale. However for those of us who enjoy the suspense and gathering our own data, it is fun.

The sisters do get along and the roo is docile and doesn't bother with the girls. Both hens seem comfortable in their present setting. Just wondering about the chick's when they hatch.

    2 Issues. Need reassurance.

Thank you all for your replies. I feel better about being eggless. Thank you. As for the 2 girls hanging out in the coop, I did see them out in the run today. But, I also did notice that they stayed away from the roo. It seemed like they were walking on egg shells when near him. In the...
