This is what the several of the eggs look like. The lowest pencil line is where the air cell is and that opaqueness is right below it. I still can't see any movement in the egg. Anybody know what's going on?
Question. My other 8 eggs in the incubator have not internally pipped yet. I candled a couple last night and I couldn't see movement inside. They have, however, rubbed the membrane off of the inside of the shell right under the air cell. (When I say rubbed off, I mean the shell looks more...
I know that there are couple of people selling buff chicks on the Birmingham craigslist. I think one is from Hayden and the other is from Cullman. I would search the farm and garden section and see.
Oh, and brief change of topic, I stumbled on this on Facebook. A farm out of GA (real close to the Alabama state line) is giving away a free coop. I think they'll even drive it to your house for you. It might be worth the "like" on Facebook.
I think I can manage some room in mine after my ducks hatch out huntinwidow! I can definitely take a few off your hands. Maybe not several dozen though. Chicken math and my family don't really get along for some reason...
That's what we are doing it for also oldgoat! If anyone want's to PM me about it, that would be awesome. We might be able to learn a bit from each other since several of us are newbies to it. Also, I have 9 viable eggs out of 11 for my first coolerbator hatch! Woohoo! Day 10 is tomorrow and...
This is an incredibly random question, but I'll give it a go. Does anyone keep bees along with their backyard flocks? I have ordered two hives and I'm just curious.
Tomtom, I agree with Cukoo! I had the worst case of the stomach flu I have ever had a week and a half ago. I could not stop throwing up, I had no appetite, and I couldn't stay out off the bathroom (if you catch my drift). I finally went to the Doc in the Box and they said that it was a very...
I'm jealous! I have someone hatching Welsh Harlequins out on the 8th and I think I'm going to get some. Now the debate is whether to get two or three...
And these are my Mille Fleur D'uccle's! I posted a picture of them when they were just checks a month or so back. This is them now!
This is Big Mama (named because "she" was really motherly to the younger chicks. "She" was 2 weeks older than everyone else.) Looks like we may have to start...
So just wanted to share some pictures with ya'll! We built a coolerbator using the specs from the thread on here and right now we have 11 duck eggs that we are trying to hatch out. Fingers crossed!
And yes, just in case anyone is wondering, that is an original Super Nintendo by the...
Thanks for the advice Wisher... We tried to trade him and that didn't work and now my mom and him have become buddies. So now we absolutely have to keep him (her words not mine). So I guess we're looking for two hens. Like I said, he's just a mixed breed guy, very handsome, but he doesn't need...
