Louise's country closet has great diapers! I have several for my girls. What a great idea about the cling wrap! I had been pinning in Saran Wrap, not so easy.
Congrats again Mschickenmomma!!
Love the new house additions realsis! What kind are they?
Chickenpeep, ebony is adorable!
Y'all...
Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here! It has been a crazy few months. My pregnancy made me so nauseous that even the thought of my chickens made me sick so I had to avoid chicken stuff for awhile. My poor hubby took the job of chicken caretaker for awhile (he is VERY happy I'm...
Kukupecpec- what a beautiful goose!!!!
Mg15- how cute!! Dottie looks so proud! Such a good mom.
Lily decided to take the babies out for a walk today. One of the babies chased an ant and actually caught it! It was so precious.
Your poor baby!!!! :( makes me so sad. I really hope she pulls through. I will eventually have to rehome some of the babies. Let me know if you want any!!!
We now have a total of 8 black silkie babies :D 8/9 hatched. I still can't believe Lily was able to set on that many.lol. She is so happy to be a momma. I had to separate her for a couple of minutes while I counted the babies and removed the shells and she went ballistic!
My friend...
Well we have one pip so far! Hoping I will have new babies to share soon!!!!!!!
Thanks for all the advice guys!
And chickens are so goofy sometimes! I always get a good laugh when mine hunt for bugs in our carpet!
Haha, it was almost like she was thinking "I don't do sleeping outdoors!"
Nothing yet from the eggs. It's killin me. I haven't candled them at all, so it's going to be a big surprise with any that hatch.
How long did it take for yours to hatch? How long did people recommend to wait with...
Aww!! How adorable! She sounds like suh a good mama. I hope my Lily will be a good one too. That's what happened to Nera. She loved it so much outside that I couldn't keep her inside anymore. So we got her two friends and she happily pecks around outside all day then comes in to sleep!
Congrats to Dottie!! We are on day 20!!!! I am so dang nervous, I just want everything to go well for her and the chicks. I think I'm more nervous for her than when I had my own baby! Lol. We are getting a plastic pool ready for her and her babies today. Hopefully they start to hatch tomorrow!!!!!

I love the bird in the purse!!!! I might have to copy that!
Ok, so one of my silkies went broody so I bought her fertile silkie eggs. She is sitting on 9! I can't wait to see what hatches... Though its my first time hatching anything and I'm super nervous/excited! She growls at my husband...
I hate that they all gang up on one every now and then. It must be mildly hilarious to watch that sparring though!!! I agree, house chickens have GREAT lives. They are given so much attention, protection, and the occasional romp outside (weather permitting!) I wouldn't have it any other way...
