I'm up to 15 that have hatched, two more are pipped and four that haven't done anything yet. Seven out of my 11 Marans hatched, and so far 8 of the 12 Olive Eggers have hatched.
It all depends on your child's learning style, how teacher intensive the curriculum is and what your goals are for each kid. For our older daughter (11th grade) we have been using a computer based program. She is not a kid that likes to do book work at all. We wanted a Bible based program that...
The first of my chicks due to hatch on Wednesday just hatched about an hour ago. Something is not right with him, his head is all bent underneath him. I can see his beak up under his wing, but he can't seem to straighten out his head. He is flopping all over the incubator doing forward rolls...
I have seven babies! One egg stopped developing back in the second week and I have one zipped that looks like it died and one that pipped but with no movement. I have two eggs left that hopefully will hatch today.
I put these pictures up earlier in the thread but here they are again.
This is my daughter with her medical bag. She wanted to try to find out why the chickens were not laying eggs yet. They all turned out to be roosters, but she thought for sure she would "fix" them and get them to lay eggs...
I have a few questions. I have 11 eggs are due to hatch on Mothers Day and 12 eggs due three days later in the same incubator. Lockdown would be Wednesday pm. I have to catch an early flight on Wednesday AM, is it ok to take them out of the egg turner and put them in lockdown on Tuesday night...
I candled my 24 eggs last night and all but one seem to be developing right on track. The one egg looks like it quit after 4-5 days but all the rest are looking good.
Wow, those are pretty eggs. Did you have them shipped to you? I really shouldn't be asking this, I really really really do not need more eggs, but would you share where you got them?
Here is an updated pic with the eggs I just added. I am hatching 12 Marans (some are Black French and some are Blue French, don't know how many of each) and 12 mixed of a Ameracauna hens and Wheaten Marans rooster. The ones with the "2" on them will hatch about 3 days after the Marans eggs...
Here are my favorite pictures. The first one my little Buff Orp is looking at me as if to say "NO WAY" to going out of the coop and near my dog.
My daughter went out to the coop with her Doctors kit to see why our chickens have not laid any eggs. She didn't seem to understand that...
I set my 12 Marans eggs on Sunday, and tomorrow I am adding 12 Olive Egger eggs that I just picked up tonight. Lord help me, I still have spots left in the egg turner tray for more eggs.
