I thought you were not supposed to feed the eggs back to the chickens if treating with antibiotics. I don't know but I thought I read that on here (BYC). Maybe it was the worming medication. I don't know. Just thought I would mention it if anyone knows for sure.
The cover photo is found on page 37 with the Modern BB Red Game. Now is it that?? I would have no clue! I thought it looked like my Welsummer roo except the ear lobes. :)
I only ask because I had a broody I could not break and she started to loose feathers from sitting so much. I know it wasn't a molt because they are under a year old.
Here is a picture of the two Herefords that came here to pasture last August. The picture was taken yesterday. They are expected to calve soon. Was told Dec. but I am in no hurry!! Those babies can wait until the temps warm up for sure. Looks to be a few weeks based on undercarriage...
What!? not haul feed in their car??!! I can not tell you how many times we have left the feed mill with about 750-800lbs. I just live far enough away that you have to make the trip worth it. The sweet aroma of feed swirling around the car in the hot summer is the best!
Finally I can feel like we had somewhat of a winter! :) LOL!
What is a normal northern Minnesota winter without wind chills so cold you thought you were in the Arctic?
