Yep!! Especially my Black Brahmas. They look weird sometimes. No back feathers & then the other birds will see the pin feathers coming in & peck them & god forbid if they bleed, then more pecking & could lead to someone getting pecked to death. UGH! I spray the bare feathered boys with Blue Cote...

I completely understand. I am overrun with roos rt now but that's because no one is allowed to have them where I live, so I sell all my pullets & am stuck with roos.

That is strange. I've never had that happen before. I have had the random dead chicken once or twice. Which was weird. Maybe heart attack? Even young animals can have those. I hope all your babies hatch. :) Brahmas are the best chickens in my humble opinion. I'm sorry to hear about your husband...

Geesh! You got 7 boys? This year has been boy heavy for me though. Idk what's going on with that. Maybe I should lower my incubator temps. :/ I'm glad you got some good ones (hens) though. lol

There are many colors of Brahma, but like speckledhen said, there are only 3 recognized varieties in the US. Other colors are recognized in other countries though. I breed (and sell) 3 colors of Brahma right now & am adding more colors next year. Here are some pics of some of mine.... Gold...
