I got my chicks from MPC (9 of them), I brooded with a heat lamp, didn't feed medicated feed but gave them vitamins in their water. They had access to their food 24/7!and I never had one get pasty butt. Next time I get chicks I do plan to use the Mamma Heating Pad method...just because it seems...
When I ordered my Blue Andelusians from MPC I received two blues and one splash...it was a nice surprise! I think you'd have to order more than one to get the splash in the mix. It was VERY obvious which one was the splash, she was the only yellow chickie. Here they are after I received them.
I just was looking at the picture thinking there's some nice DARK brown eggs in your mix!! Keep us posted here and let us know how your hatch goes! Wishing you luck!
I received 10 chicks from MPC in September, one died on day 3 and I didn't report it because their policy says within the first 48 hours...it was a weak one to start. That doesn't discourage me from ordering from them though! I have 9 very robust healthy chickens from them and I am VERY...

9 chicks @ $18 = $162.00
Ditto! (I just wish their shipping wasn't so expensive! My chicks (9) wound up being $18 each after shipping was factored in!) The nice thing is that I got breeds that I couldn't get at the local feed store.
I ordered for the first time from MPC. We ordered 10...our little Buckeye died two days after they arrived. The other 9 are now two weeks old and appear to be thriving and happy. We'll have to wait and see if we got all pullets or not. We got one GLW, 2 SLW, 3 Andelusian, one Australorp, 2...
