A simple cattle panel wrapped in chicken wire with a tarp top is not predator proof but is cheap and fairly efficient. I just thought of that and think I should do it as an extra like Wyorp said.
Can you re home re home. As in give her to someone else. Or learn a lot about trapping real quick. I've had success with foot traps around the coop or the tractor for coons. I've had to set them off in the morning to keep the chickens out because I free range.
You can also use some live traps...
:he:thThat'll jus pi$$ ya off. I usually get one to set for 2 wks then a snake eats the eggs then another week and again before finding the snake, Then she stops after a week or 2. Her 4th or 5th week of actually setting.
She should be able to pullet off if the wind is off of her. I don't know how but they do even if you couldn't get an incubator warm enough outside. I'd just worry about the wind chill and if your worried about the temp is it going to warm up after tonight?
P.S. Pun intended. And it may take a...
If you think she can safely finish them there I'd put some under her tonight or tomorrow morning. I might put her in a cage or coop with what she has under her then see if she stays on them another night.

I got one that needed a head gasket and rear suspension work and still does 2 yrs later. At $750 it's been a great tool. With the little trailer it can carry up to a rick of wood if I'm close to the house and not tear up the ground if it's wet. Great exercise for the...

I bought some #3's because of there big feet. I haven't put a bigger pan on them though. I had a few 2's for coons and whatever got close to the coop. They start missing I just put them all around and trip them when we let the dogs and chickens out.
I haven't been on this thread or BYC in a while. Thought I'd stop in and say hi.
I must say I wasn't expecting "fuzzy britches".:gig
I've was working on a problem bob cat in a cubby style set up. But to no avail. Just a miss with a piece of bark keeping the jaws open a 1/4", the neighbors cat...
I believe one of our beloved Bay Watch babes spent a cool $Mill on billboards against chicken killing by KFC. I still eat KFC and my own. Well last year I was to lazy to butcher and gave them away after having to many roo's for way to long.
I don't have anymore game. It was all dark Cornish or...
