Just wanted to share this giant egg my blue partridge brahma laid today next to one of my Altistier's first eggs. It's 3.8oz.....cannot wait to open that sucker!
Took some pics of my brahmas this morning. They are such sweet birds. I can't get over how big my cockerel Picasso is and he's not even full grown!! Love him!
The gold pullets came from Rich and Carrie Snyder at Country Star Farm in Ohio. My blue cock and two blue partridge pullets came from someone local, those pullets are not yet laying though.

They are large fowl. Not sure on...
I just set 15 eggs from my gold partridge pullets! They are exposed to a blue partridge cock and a black partridge cock. I cannot wait to see what hatches!!! Doing a test hatch before I start selling eggs :)
Just had to share that one out of my four gold partridge girls just started laying. I got a new egg on Sunday but didn't know who it came from. Caught her in the act this morning! So excited for spring so I can set up breeding pens and work on my gold and blues :)
The coloring is just fantastic! I've gotta decide if I want to keep my golds separate from my blues now that I have both blue and gold cockerels that are nice. My blue girls need some work though so I think keeping the gold boys with the blue girls and the gold girls with this blue boy might be...
I've only got one pullet his age, a blue partridge. She seems to have cleaner hocks than he does but to be honest I haven't really looked that closely at her hocks. She's a lot more shy than he is. I'm going to have to look at her more closely now though. My younger pullets don't seem to have...
Here's a short video of him. I have two other partridge cockerels that are about 4 months old that do seem to have better overall conformation than this guy. I will try to get pictures of them tomorrow.
I posted this on the brahma breeders thread but I thought I'd post it here too. I'm trying to figure out if this cockerel has vulture hocks. To my very untrained eye it does appear that he has VH. He's a big sweetie so I'd hate to have to cull him but obviously I do not want this in any of my...
My babies are home!!!! My aunt was "chick sitting" these beauties for me until I got my coop situated. They were too big for the brooder :) About three weeks has gone by and I finally have my coop! So here they are!!! Two partridge cockerels and two partridge pullets...Gonna have to find a new...
