Some pictures of my serama chicks...
This is Dandy Doo. He has an amazing story, to read it click here
This is Bubbles, she is part of the Power Puff Chicks :) She needed to be assisted out of her shell but it wasn't a hardcore life-or-death situation
This is...
So out of 7 serama eggs and 15 supermarket eggs... I had only ONE natural hatch. I had to assist (as in open the entire egg and slide the barely alive embryo out) THREE chicks. And as for the other eggs... all of the supermarket ones were not fertile. One of the serama eggs was bad from day one...
Oh and I'm really worried about my eggs just sitting in the incubator... this is the first time I just sat them on the wire for hatching and it's really easy for them to roll. It's not like i can open the incubator at this point...I'm scared one egg will hatch and roll all of the other eggs...
I'm still waiting for peeps!!! Then again, I did set 10 hours late....
My eggs WERE all wiggling but they stopped yesterday night... Maybe saving energy?
So excited for Saturday!
However all of the eggs quit wiggling. They used to wiggle and wobble every few minutes, but now only one has moved in the past hour (Yes, i've been watching eggs for the past hour, I'm a loser )! Should I be concerned? Do they go though a "rest period"? I've hatched...
So... I'm totally freaking out right now.... my incubator was hit and all six eggs that went to lock down turned 2-3 rotations. I uprighted the eggs within 10 seconds to their original position.
Did that kill any of them? Can they hatch now?
Just candled. Day 10... 6/7 seramas, the one egg that isn't good has a detached air cell so there was no hope. I think that pretty good so far for shipped eggs...
So somehow I was seeing stuff because I candled tonight the possible twins tonight and I didn't see twins in the large serama egg...
