Very nice!
I had an Ameracauna that hatched out July 4 and he had some sort of bubble on his butt. He stayed smaller for awhile, but now that he and my other one are outside in the litttle pen, he's gotten quite a bit bigger then the other. He also had spraddle leg. His spraddle leg and...
Here is Bear. The lady that sold me the eggs finally saw a pic of him and informed me he's not a Swedish Flower Hen, he's a Pure Golden Campine. I'm just glad I'm not a crazy chicken lady that's worried about the breed of her chicks.
Here is an updated pic of Bear. I looked up Golden...
So I have some eggs coming this week! I know I said I wasn't going to hatch anymore until spring, but guess what happened the day after I sold my bator?!?!?! My GLW went broody! I just hope she's serious cause I have some Swedish Flower Hen eggs coming and no bator if she decides to give up...
Here are a few pics of my 3 out in the brooder. I'm gonna give my 2 little ones another day before I get them out and take pics. (I saw Runt running across the tank today! Bearing weight on both legs!)
Here is Bear. I'm thinking he's a he.
This is Two Face (1/2 yellow beak 1/2 black)...
Well my little runt is doing much better! He's up walking around most of the time, eating, drinking & pooping - all while standing up. He still hobbles when he walks, looks like a pirate walking with a peg leg, but he is learning how to walk! Woohoo. The 3 larger chicks are outside in the...
I'm thinking my little runt isn't going to make it much longer. She'll get up and take about 3 steps then rests for hours. She's now all by herself since the others kept stepping on her. Dang. I really hope she makes it!
Bear is ging on 2 weeks here, I got 5 out of this last hatch. 1 died less than 24 hrs old, 1 is still real week (my last to hatch), over 48 hours old now, the other 3 are just fine. 4 eggs didn't hatch. I'm gonna be real good and maybe Santa will bring me a new incubator for Christmas!
I'm gonna give mine until Sunday. That'll be day 25 for me for this batch. If nothing more happens then I'll candle them, if they're still moving I might try to assist and see what I get. If they're not moving then I'll just send them back to Mother Nature!

I wanted to check mine on Wednesday cause I was getting no action, but then when I picked one egg up I could feel it moving in there, so I carefully set it back down. I just felt the eggs in the bator and could feel movement in all of them, so I left them alone.
Here's some info on spraddle leg & curled toes. It's about 1/2 way down the page.

This is another really good site on it

I've got 3 hatched so far. 1 has spradle leg. I helped him out, I thought he was shrink wrapped, but he wasn't. I probably should've just left him alone. he might have come out on his own. Dang! Well got his legs splinted together and he's resting again.
I've got 2 zipping and 1 pipped, and 3 left. My humidity dripped last night to 44! I home they're ok. I shined my light in on them and they still look really moist. Hopefully they'll pop out today!
Thursday was my actual hatch day. so we're going on 2 days late.
I just had #3 hatch. He looks a little under developed. Head is much larger in proportion to it's body then the others, I'll leave him in the bator longer than I did the others. 3 are pipped in the bator, and the other 3 are still rock'n.
