Nightpaw meowed a good morning to Firestar as she walked into the den. "Where's Shadowfire?" she asked. She seemed worried about something. "I am an apprentice, I am an apprentice, I am an apprentice!" Nightpaw meowed proudly to everyone she saw. (Nightpaw=med cat, Nightpaw=kit)

"I do believe Sootfur likes you, too," the med cat apprentice meowed. "I can smell it." She looked up from her work. Her clouded blue eyes stared seemingly into his very soul. "I do believe, indeed," she laughed, turning away.

Nightpaw mrrowed in amusement at Brackenfur's confusion. She turned back to Sootfur's wounds, deep in thought.

"Great idea! I'll talk to Firestar about it later. In the meantime, you should get some sleep," she said, nodding her head.

Nightpaw's nose twitched. She smiled. She likes him! She said to herself, affection-smell overpowered by embarassment. "Of course!" she said. "That's just who will go with!"

"We probably need an experienced warrior with, just in case," she said, nodding.

"Oh, good," she said. "I thought you were mad at me! Do you still want to go with Mintpaw?" she asked, all in one breath.

Nightpaw sighed. "I'm sorry!" she called to the retreating tail of Sootfur. She turned to Mintpaw. "I will show you what it looks like later. You'll see how when you're asleep."

(Yes, please!) "How do I know what it looks like!" spat Nightpaw. "I'm blind!" Her expression softened as soon as she said that. "I'm sorry, I'm just so stressed about this cough!" she said, not unkindly.

(Since this will get confusing, this is how I'll RP: Nightpaw, the med cat apprentice will be RPed as Nightpaw, and the kit will be RPed as Nightpaw)

"That's it!" Nightpaw shouted suddenly. "She needs Catmint, and there is none in camp. I'll have to find some..." she finished with a mumble.

Nightpaw woke up suddenly. What the heck woke me up? She sleepily asked herself. She smelled sickness getting stronger and stronger every second. She bolted upright in her mossy bed.

Hmmm... I guess I agree... Just don't go jumping off any cliffs, Nightpaw!

(The only problem with that, though, is that Sootfur knows nothing about being a mentor. She just became part of the clan! I think Mintpaw is better off with a mentor who has been in the clan all their life.)

(You're not supposed to sleep anyways! It's a night of vigil; you stay up all night, then sleep a little the next day...)

(Whoa... That's a lot! BTW a queen is a she-cat expecting or nursing kits...Not an actual queen.) Nightpaw made her way between the entwining bodies of her clan members towards Sootfur and Mintpaw. "Congratulations!" she purred, staringthrough them with sightless eyes.

Hazelstorm walked quietly up to Sootfur. "She's blind," she whispered, gently. "She was born blind,"

Nightkit shook his tiny head and sat down. Nightpaw appeared to be staring at Mintpaw. (Nightpaw is blind.) Really, she was delving deep into her emotions, worry-smell washing over her.

(Ohhhh... Whoops? Sorry about that... I thought that before you said he was a she...) Nightkit tried, unsuccesfully, to flatten his fur. Stomping off in the direction of his mother, he looked up at her. "Fix it, please!" he said, waiting for her to smooth his fur down.
