I've never overly had a problem, I prebake mine, however if that doesn't work I've heard good things about brushing the crust with melted chocolate.

Have had a wicked craving for kfc, but don't like the treatment their chickens receive or the shady cooking practices, so going to be trying copycat recipes, anyone got any suggestions, or interested in results... Bare in mind from what I understand Australian kfc is very different from us stuff.

Just be careful with lavender, I made lavender truffles a while back, part of which is infusing the lavender in heated cream until aromatic... Yeah the aromatic part is not as obvious as you would assume, you're supposed to stop at just the lightest scent of lavender, I of course kept going...
