    This reminds me of something I heard long ago...... Why do you never see any baby pigeons? Because they grow and feather so fast they quickly look like adults to the untrained eye.

    I'm sure they can be very valuable producers of useful things needed.....but... This guy did not harvest the fertilizer, nor eat squab nor pigeon eggs. Kinda like alot/most the folks on BYC keep chickens as pets/surrogate 'children' rather than food sources.

    :eek: Amazing! Tho I wonder if he let it go too soon? Pigeons, we called them $hitting machines when I lived in one city, they can make a godawful mess when there are hordes of them soiling abandoned buildings. I used to chicken(and rabbit and pigeon) sit for guy who had pigeons, he raced them...

    That's got to be what it means....but the sentence structure makes you think 3 days after hatch when coupled with the info about eyes opening.
