Several other crosses and everything had black eyes.
I wonder if the black eye gene is passed from the cockbird.
My crosses came from my 2 original import Isbars over females from other breeds.
Genetics cause me to need a shot of whiskey
I hatched several of @KYTinpusher
eggs that were first imports x latest imports too.
Everything had black eyes. I hatched ice cream bars from my flock...black eyes too.
I hatched Isbars x brahmas...black eyes
The black eyes are dominant. I just hatched several crosses from my original lines Isbar males. Everything hatched with black eyes. Im not sure if the yellow eyes will ever pop up again but the black eyes are for sure dominant.
The new imports (to me) look like pita pinta crosses. I doubt...
We know the BBS are not at all autosexing. I wonder about the reds. That may have been his plan. In GFF's description of Isbars, they did kinda leave a door open to colors other than BBS that may be auto sexing. Idk. I want everyones thoughts and opinions
Do any of you guys have any theories as to what Silverrudd was missing in his quest for the autosexing factor with Isbars?
What could be bred into them to accomplish that and not upset the egg color?
Is there a standard now? Im pretty sure GFF had 2 different imports. The first had black eyes. The second had yellow eyes....and alot of other differences. Are the 2013 imports (black eyed) preferred?
I wonder about dominant and recessive on eye color. Would a black eyed bird over a yellow eyed...
This stupid phone wont let me upload pics.
My wife @1kluckychik has some pics on her page. We have 1 blue male and 1 splash male. I think she has them named Bo and Luke Duke.
