salfay, Hello and welcome to BYC! The coop you are building is adorable! We did decide to insulate our coop but we leave the pop door open all winter. We do wrap the fenced enclosure with clear pvc tarp to keep out the severe winds and snow.
I have a little silkie serama hen I am looking to place. She is not working out for me and the other hens don't like her. She is always by herself. Had her in the house but that wasn't working for me either. She has one crooked toe. I'd like $20 for her.
Well get your umbrellas and boots back out...tomorrow...40* and rain! Right now the sun is shinning ...hurts my eyes (with all the snow).

Welcome Bobby and Patti to BYC and the Hoosier thread! I have only bought from breeders or folks on here so can't really recommend a hatchery. Keep watching on here as there are many looking to sell or rehome some of their birds.

We have to keep him in a large plastic cement tub with dirt and a sun lamp. Poor guy is not happy with his winter digs. Sometimes I take him out and let him walk around the house.
