Sounds about the size I got. I wonder if full size ones are available. Peep and Fae were really small, great flyers. Also became racoon food :( That looks like a "I don't want to get up" face. Condolences. Never easy but harder when so young and for unknown reasons.

Interesting. The 2 females I got from Ideal in 2012 (they don't seem to carry Cubalaya now) were probably half that size. They weren't sold as bantams but maybe they were.

Beautiful. I didn't know Cubalay came in bantam form. Given how small they are as a full sized breed, the bantams must be TINY.

Curious. I find I have to spread the treats a distance (BOSS in the morning, scratch in the afternoon) or those higher in the pecking order will peck and run off the lower tier girls. But the sight is one that makes your heart drop into your stomach until you know they are just sunbathing!

I would be tempted to leave her with them. Protection from the bigger girls and an educator.

According to MyPetChicken Favaucana is their exclusive cross. Nyx came from Meyer. I don't know that Meyer is doing a similar cross though I don't think there would be any legal reason they couldn't. If they are someone really screwed up which incubator they put the resulting eggs in.

Practice is good! But do be aware that there are image quality requirements. What might look great on a computer screen might not enlarge well for the calendar.

Curious, so only the skin on her face is black, not the rest of her body? We need someone well versed in chicken genetics here!

The mail rooster or the Fuller Brush rooster came by and bred some of your hens? I wonder if black skin is recessive. I have a black Blue Ameraucana purchased from Meyer. 25% of Blue x Blue are expected to be black, 25% splash, 50% blue. But ZERO % should have 5 toes per foot like Nyx has...
