Ya this what Lyle and others have been breeding for and it is starting to pay off. I don't think I ended up hatching any of the all black. Although that would of been fine. I will take pics as they grow and show everyone what these look like. I received 18 AJ eggs and only two were...
haTHOR beautiful pics. Love the little ones. I'm also trying to learn about all this chicken stuff and love the java breed. I haven't heard about that they used RIR to get back to auburns. I would think if they would have the auburns would be without the spangleing and would be more of a mahogany.

Just a question. If the auburns where were bred from the blacks wouldn't that make them purbred? I'm just wondering, I don't want to waste my time with them if there's going to be questions. Or conflicts. Mike

If he were mine I would use him. Forsure!! He doesn't look bad in comparison to other birds I have seen, wich in auburns isn't very many. There are other people breeding the auburns but to know what they are shooting for is another thing. What I know is only what Lyle has been telling...

I see what you ment. sorry I know getting the spangling on the auburns correct will take awhile but I'm going to give it a shot. I seen a few that Lyle has and they are looking prety good.
I got a email, my eggs from Lyle will be coming after March 14 for auburns. He said last year there was alot of improvement in his flock. So I will see what happens. I don't know who has the auburns on the java club website but they are lookin very prety.

I was wondering where you got them from? I'm getting some eggs from Lyle Behl in the next while and don't know what to expect. I've seen a few pics of spangled hens and was wondering how long or what does it take to get a group of spangled birds? Can the auburn birds throw all black...
