Every time I look into this thread, I tell myself, "I'm sure everything is fine," and then I remember that nothing has ever changed and this thread still gets away with murder.
Brief announcements from Eenie: I landed the role of adult Mary Ingalls in a show about Laura Ingalls Wilder called "LIW: Voice Of The Prarie." Rehearsals will start in December and the show will run three weekends in January.
Also, college starts September 21st and I feel so unprepared for...
The food was amazing, actually. Got to be quite the chore to keep the actors from eating the props. Cake for a teatime scene, homemade bread for a breakfast scene, more cake and cute pastries for a tea shop scene, cranberry juice cocktail and sweet tea as stand-ins for wine and whiskey...
Weren't the costumes amazing? And that's not even half of them- that's just the Elliot family. The naval officers were incredible. Bunnylady, it was a fantastic show! Fortunately we still have the cast party to look forward to... Giving up daily fun with this bunch is so hard.
Persuasion closed last night and tear down was this afternoon.
I'm the younger blonde crew member... My sister is the one in green in the last photo, as Miss Anne Elliot.
I love it when my mom volunteers to do something technological, then realizes she doesn't know how and I end up doing it under a deadline. *deranged laughter*
There's mostly dead, and then there's all dead. If you're only mostly dead, who knows what we'll do with you?
I have no idea. I don't have an official start date yet, as I have to pass the background check first. None of you sabotage this! I'm in the dungeon completely unnecessarily.
Oh, sure, that's exactly what I need right now. Not yet- today is our third day of technical rehearsals. Opening night is May 1st... thank goodness we only have two performances anyway. I'm being run ragged keeping my obnoxious younger male actors from playing poker for money in the church...
(I am so bad at keeping up with the banter of this thread these days... it's so embarrassing.)
So after That One Contracted Fiasco (you know the one) I'm trying again. I have an interview at Starbucks at 10:15 Tuesday morning. I'm feeling hopeful, because the hiring manager is the assistant...
What you did there... it has been seen.
Well, the Persuasion flyer is finished and I'm rather pleased with myself. Excuse me while I post them all around the kingdom...
Do we have a royal chef? I hope whoever they are is okay with odd hours and odd requests. When the cravings start rolling in... Eesh. Let's all hope that she doesn't develop an aversion to the smell of brownies.
