Well we got them when they were over a week old they were never keen on being held and we didn't push the issue as much as we should so thats why it won't let me pick it up, but its not chasing with its head down, video soon to follow.

We just used an electrolyte powder that had niacin from TSC, probably not the recommended dose but we didn't have any problems, we started it when we got the ducks. My wife is a formulation scientist in animal pharmaceutics, so I just say ok and don't ask questions.

They actually are looking to the sky, probably see a bird or aircraft and trying to determine if its friend or foe

Well, now I'm a little worried, Just let the ducks out this morning and my 2nd duck's bill has started turning olive at the center, she's never quacked a lot but I have heard her quack... the two drakes peep for sure, they're just over two months old and they seem to be starting to molt as well.

So is two drakes to two ducks a good ratio or do I have too many drakes?

I'm excited to see them grow, eventually they'll free range and have access to the pond/marsh. With 2 males, 2 females, should we take a drake this fall for supper or is that a good number? My wife hopes that we won't have to butcher them, but Duck is good. Their use to be a really good Spicy...
