LOL! My Light Brahma's name is Drama. Named by my youngest son. We have Brahma Drama every single day.

Thanks. I'm guessing I'll be waiting until next spring then. My Brahma will be 8 months in December. Thankfully, I have an EE and RIR, too.

I know nothing about show birds, but I think your dancing Brahma is beautiful. That's funny that he does that.

That's the way my RIR is. My Light Brahma loves attention - actually "cries" for it. She has a unique chirp, and she follows me. She loves to be held. It's pretty amazing. She's truly like a pet.

My lil fluffball makes us laugh. She's so different than our EE and RIR (who both look sleek and "chicken-like" at 9 weeks). The other two walk like chickens, but my brahma has so much fluff that she looks like she waddles. It's funny and cute. She's the only one who still looks a bit like a...

I'm just curious, do all Light Brahmas go through a very "rumpled" looking stage about 9 weeks? My little Brahma is a walking fluffball, Granted, it has been windy when she's been outside free-ranging, but even inside, she's got feathers sticking out all over the place.

We're new to chickens, but we've had experience with pure-bred French Brittany's. My husband researched breeders, and ordered a French Brittany from France. The dog cost hundreds, plus air fare fees. The breeder knew the distance would lessen the ability for the buyer to go after them if they...

Thank you. I'm hoping all the changes we've made to the coop will suit her. And I really want to get this door before we go on vacation. I have never seen a full-grown Brahma in real life, so I have no concept what she's going to look like, or how big she's going to be. She's already taller...

Another door question... would an adult Brahma hen fit through the automatic "Pullet Shut" door? The opening is 11" wide by 15" tall. http://chickendoors.com/products.php

Thanks! I have a feeling I'm going to have to make some changes to the coop we just bought. Rats! It looks so pretty the way it is. Hopefully my husband will be able to fix it.

What is the smallest size chicken door that a full grown Brahma can go through?

Thanks for the input on my Brahma and the perch. We're looking at the coop and trying to decide what to do. We're talking about having a low perch 3" - 4" off the ground because the RIR and EE will want to perch on something. That said - my little Brahma, even after her injury, can fly! A...

And, yes, she does have a floor perch that is about 2 inches off the ground. The other two just hang out higher than her, leaving her all alone.

She is young. All three of my birds are 8 weeks. Their "brooder" (converted large-dog wire kennel) has a perch that is 21" off the ground. My Rhode Island Red and Easter Egger love to hang out up there, but my Brahma has never gotten up there. She always seems alone. Since we're trying to...

Hi! I have one Light Brahma in my tiny trio of a "flock". I have a question, that may have already been asked here, but this thread is huge. I was hoping someone would be willing to help me out. We're installing the coop and run, and I need to know how high to make the perch bars in the...
