PHEW! I had to go back and look at the remarks *I* made- second guessing the advice I gave- and we lined up almost exactly. Maybe I do know what I'm doing after all!

Just to clarify this will still autosex if they are BROWN Leghorns not WHITE leghorns. @Chickencame1st yes I have several of these running round, just sold one actually she was laying me nice blue eggs. They are not in any way sexable for two reasons- the barring is passed to both male and...

While I agree this guy is cream and your younger boy is gold, the younger one looks like he will have better body shape. This guy looks "front heavy" and has almost no "back" to him, plus a lot more red in his earlobe. It could just be the "above the back" camera angle giving this appearance...

Notice how THICK his comb looks- THAT I think is the key to getting an upright comb.

Tail angles take a LONG time to finish up. I would suspect the low tailed boy will be just about perfect when he matures- the smaller high set tail is going to end up too high IMO. They are about equal in body coloring, and leg color. I see some red streaks in the earlobe, not terrible just...

My understanding is that the wattles continue to grow throughout their life. Some roosters who have a perfect size wattle for their breed when shown as a cockerel have too long of wattles for subsequent showing years. I am uninformed on whether this is also true of the comb. If it is true...

This was interesting: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/435248/vaulted-skulls It appears vaulted skulls are apparent at birth or shortly after. THIS was even more informative as they are photos of actual chicken skulls. Not for the squeamish...

Haha THAT would be why you are confused!!! Can you try a different browser and see if that affect it? Firefox, Chrome, etc? I use Firefox and it works great with it. If changing browsers doesn't fix it then I would contact a mod for BYC and see if it is something on your account. ETA: Do...

Are you online or mobile? The easiest way to post pictures is online. Mobile can be kind of a pain and the pics don't always stick. Take your pictures and download them to your computer. Take note of what file they are saved in. In the "Reply" box on the thread, look at the symbols along...

These "idealized birds" have been photoshopped to match the SOP by a club member and the images donated to the club. I need to take the time to watermark them with the club name or website I think... I would hate to see them stolen and used for someone's ebay listing!

Here are the images. They are owned by the club. If you share them please include the club website for reference, www.creamlegbarclub.org. They are not perfect, but they are also not real- just one person's interpretation of the proposed SOP.

Peggy, Thank you very much for listing your experience and advice. Very well thought out and well said. All of that is bring taken into consideration by the club. The 2/2/2/2 rule is news to me though. I may have just missed it. Quick correction though. The goldish improper US birds...
